Government Employees Health Association (GEHA) owns and operates the PPO USA Network and is PPO USA Network's largest client; however, GEHA may lease the PPO USA Network to other payors in the future. Future payors' identification cards will include the PPO USA Network logo, and the name of our network will be included on their EOB's.

GEHA was founded more than 70 years ago by a small group railway mail clerks in Kansas City, Missouri, and has grown to be the second largest health plan for federal employees, federal retirees and their families. GEHA is consistently rated one of the best health plans in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Association. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) conducts this annual independent survey.

GEHA claims are paid quickly and accurately. Eighty percent of all GEHA claims are reimbursed within 11 working days of their receipt. In GEHA's agreements with Participating Providers, GEHA contractually agrees to pay all "clean claims" within 30 days.

GEHA pays more than $1 billion in claims each year, and insures approximately 450,000 covered lives across the nation. GEHA employs about 1,000 dedicated and hardworking individuals who do their best to ensure Plan members and Participating Providers receive the best possible services.

The PPO USA Network is marketed to other payors by GEHA's wholly-owned subsidiary company, PPO USA, Inc. PPO USA, Inc. acts as the "marketing arm" for some of GEHA's networks. The primary network marketed at this time is the CONNECTION Dental Network. The CONNECTION Dental Network is a proprietary network that consists of more than 30,000 dentists nationwide.
